How to Plan a Budget Trip to Dubai from India
Published on May 20, 2024
Dubai is synonymous with luxury, but that doesn't mean you have to break the bank to visit. With smart planning, you can experience the glitz and glam for a fraction of the cost.
1. Book Flights in Advance
Flight prices fluctuate wildly. Booking at least 3 months in advance can save you up to ₹10,000 per ticket. Look for budget carriers like Indigo or SpiceJet that fly directly to Dubai (DXB) or Sharjah (SHJ).
2. Stay in Deira or Bur Dubai
avoid staying in Downtown or Marina if you are on a budget. Old Dubai (Deira/Bur Dubai) offers excellent 4-star hotels for ₹3,000 - ₹5,000 per night, and they are well connected by the Metro.
3. Use the Metro
Taxis are expensive. The Dubai Metro is world-class, fully automated, and connects the Airport to the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, and Marina. Get a Silver NOL card.
4. Free Activities
- Dubai Fountain: Watch the world's largest dancing fountain for free outside Dubai Mall.
- Gold Souk: Walk through the traditional markets.
- JBR Beach: Spend a day at the beach without paying an entry fee.
